This I believe…

That how we love others is how we love God.

How we love abortion doctors is how we love God.
How we love Osama Bin Laden is how we love God.
How we love believers of other faiths is how we love God.
How we love murderers, rapists and thieves is how we love God.

For how we love the least of these is how we love God.

Ok, I wanted to simply say ‘Amen’, but your comment filter doesn’t seem to like that. ‘Too Short’ it says. Pfffft. That thing should know better than to tell me to talk more.

How we hate our enemies is how we hate god.

I’ve found this to be one of the hardest ideas to convey to other christians. I think ‘love your enemies’ is the most omitted/neglected teaching/example we’ve been given. In fact, I hear an alarming amount of the hating of said ‘enemies’ going on within the church - like its ok. For some reason, the majority of ‘christians’ get up in arms when you question or take issue with (or even just reinterpret) overly contextual or obviously opinionated statements made by biblical authors speaking for themselves, but this teaching of christ is somehow ok to controvert.
