I confess, I’m a traitor.
Yes, I’ve gone to the dark side. But this wasn’t an unprincipled betrayal. Indeed, this betrayal was driven by the principles of fair-use and freedom. Yes I’ve bought music from Amazon’s mp3 service.
and I like it.
For my betrayal I’m punished with DRM free, high bitrate encoding mp3’s that play on my iphone, ipod, and all 3 of my machines. Complete with album artwork.
I’m sorry Steve, I still respect you and I still love my mac, but ITMS is too much like walmart. Sure it’s cheap and convenient, but I’m locked into returning again-and-again to authorize my ipod, iphone, or computers to play the music I’ve already paid you for.

Yup, no DRM and cheaper - the on-line music industry is about to change dramatically! Yea!!!!

You’re also rewarded for not supporting your local economy.
