Look Up.As heretical as this will sound, I’m so fed up with Apples mail.app program and it’s castrated search that I’m contemplating switching to thunderbird.
Anyone have notes on that?

I have never had a problem searching in mail. but i don’t know how complex your needs are, and i doubt T-bird will be much better.

As you commented on once in Amy Laura’s class, I do indeed use Thunderbird and prefer it over all other mail programs. I don’t know if it will be exactly what you are looking for, but I think it’s great.

Like Evan, I haven’t had any problems with mail’s search - I found it more effective than kmail (from when i used linux). I personally love mail and its simplicity as an app.
The *only* problem that I’ve had is that, every once in a while when i hit the ‘reply’ button, it takes several MINUTES to give me the reply window.
