Kill -9.

I may be a Mac Nerd, but I still have substantial *nix street cred. While waiting for my class to start today I discovered this nerdCore rap from stanford’s “finest” titled Kill -9 it’s a rap on unix commands.

For those of you who, you know chose to date in high school and college instead of reading unix manuals, the way you end a process, (unresponsive program) is to Kill it. If Killing a process on a unix machine is akin to asking the process to commit sepuku, adding the -9 flag is the unix equivalent of sneaking up behind it and shooting it point blank range with an elephant gun.

Other choice moments of Unixdom from the song explained:

I dismount your girl and I mount /proc. Chowned.

well… actually I’m not going to explain that one. Either you’ll get it… or not.

Check out this link to see the video! Not exactly work safe language.
